When Pallatrax was initially launched, our range consisted solely of high quality bait products with both the anglers’ catch rate and fish welfare at the forefront. In that respect, nothing has changed. Then we launched the Stonze™ System. No-one could have seen what a huge impact this was to have on anglers of all disciplines across the world. A massive statement, but the truth. Initially, within a gimmick-laden market, some anglers voiced their suspicions, but the simple fact is that there is no gimmick. The Stonze™ are a genuine angling tool that enables the angler to replace the traditional and toxic lump of lead for a naturally occurring stone. The advantages were immediately obvious. No longer were there the negative aspects of having such a large and man-made piece of tackle so close to the hookbait, which fish could either see or sense and, therefore, spook away from. All species of fish proved to be unaware of the natural weight and the environmental benefits became all too apparent.

With the advent of underwater footage, more and more anglers have become educated to the fact that fish are masters within their own surroundings and human beings are complete outsiders. We have become more aware that attempts to camouflage our terminal tackle really only result in the human belief that the tackle is now ‘invisible.’ In the fish’s world it makes little difference, as they can readily distinguish between man-made and natural no matter what the coating. Simply put, colouring or covering a weight doesn’t change the fact that it is man-made, and always will be. In fact, it makes the weight even further man-made! Pallatrax have now taken an additional step forward by the introduction of the Line In, Line Out (LILO) System. When the conditions suit, anglers can further increase their odds of catching by hiding nearly all of their terminal tackle within the natural Stonze™ weight. As the name suggests, your mainline goes into the Stonze™ and your hooklink comes out. This tactic has really rocked the angling world with massive amounts of fish being fooled by the set up, including an extraordinary amount of specimen captures.
